Hotel:
For work we visit a lot of hotels. Hotel Bella Donna is the on the lower end of the range as far as price, but far exceeds any of the other 4 or 5 star hotels when it comes to service. We were offered the opportunity to stay at one of the other hotels which were 60 euro more expensive but declined because we appreciated the kind staff so much.
Work:
We've met with every minister and discussed with them what are the biggest issues they are currently facing in their industry. The Prime Minister has expressed his desire and mission to have Moldova join the European Union where he feel they belong. Other ministers have detailed infrastructure projects that are in need of foreign investment. The Minister of Health expressed the heavy investment in upgrading the quality of hospitals and clinics in Moldova while the Minister of Finance discussed the need for country wide reforms to conform to European financial standards. They have requested that we meet with the top companies in the country to show the European Union that companies can not only succeed in Moldova, but also employ educated Moldovans who have opted to stay in the country. They have detailed projects that will begin to attract foreign investment and showcase the progression of Moldova as a country.
Things I like about Moldova:
Moldova's greatest asset, are the nice people and quality natural food. The people are very welcoming and are naturally giving. Mostly everyone speaks at least some English so it’s easy to communicate for the most part. I’ve found that the people just sincerely enjoy making sure you enjoy your time while you’re in their country. Along with the good people is the good food. The food is actually quite simple, but everything is fresh makes it delicious and not in need of any spices or additives. While in Moldova, we plan on visiting the many wineries, which offer all types of tastes and also offers traditional music and food as well.
