I have been to many countries around the world and did not know what to expect when I came to Moldova. Before I had a chance to make my assumptions I was greeted by the friendliest cab driver and better still by the warm smile of the staff of the hotel I stayed at. .
Hotel Bella Donna has not only met but surpassed my expectations. You can find a bed, a desk, a TV, and even wifi at just about any hotel anywhere but what sets a hotel apart from the next hotel is the staff. The staff made me feel like I was an extension of their family. I was here on business and spent most of my days running in and out of meetings everyday and just like my mother would when I was young they would check up on me to make sure I ate and had everything I needed. I appreciated them scolding me and reminding me to eat and stop working too hard and smell the roses. They made sure I saw the sites and was able to appreciate the best things Moldova had to offer but what I learned was Moldova’s best assets aren’t the amazing wineries of Cricova or the breath taking landscape, but the people.
You may never have heard of Moldova and may not have plans of visiting any time soon but, I promise you if you meet a beautiful eastern European woman with a heart as big and as warm as the sun I can bet you she is from Moldova!
